Heather Oshinsky grew up in Long Island, New York, where she stayed after high school to get her associate's in American Sign Language from Suffolk County Community College. She moved to Boston in 2008 to attend Northeastern University and graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's in Theatre Production and Design from Northeastern's college of Arts Media and Design.

Heather became interested in theatre in high school when her 10th grade English teacher had her attend an extra help session during a stage build that she was chaperoning. She quickly joined the school's club, staying hours after school to help with the productions.

Currently, Heather works as a freelance Costume Designer in the greater Boston area.
